Ntokozo Brain Mashinini is a multidisciplinary artist and experimental fashion designer whose work exists between technology, mythology, and survival. Working from a speculative African future, Mashinini creates garments that look like artifacts recovered from another civilization—objects that hold memory, data, and lived experience. His practice merges fashion design, narrative building, and speculative anthropology. Instead of seeing clothing as decoration, Mashinini approaches garments as archives—surfaces where stories, signals, and histories are stored. Wires, broken screens, coded surfaces, and distressed materials appear throughout his work, suggesting garments that have lived through time, conflict, and technological collapse.
