Prabhat Kumar Verma is a fashion designer and the founder of Pranei, an Indian ethnic wear label that celebrates traditional craftsmanship and timeless design. A graduate of NIFT, he chose fashion over a conventional career path, driven by his deep passion for Indian hand embroidery and textile heritage. Despite the challenges of the modern fashion industry, Prabhat built Pranei from the ground up by training local women and empowering them with skills in garment production and embroidery. Today, the brand has grown to establish three stores and continues to expand while staying rooted in sustainability and artisanal excellence. Through his work, Prabhat aims to preserve India’s rich craft legacy while creating meaningful opportunities and redefining contemporary ethnic wear.
